Dennis!!!!!
OH MY GOSH! I have had the best day yet with my class. They LOVE ARFF!! I put a toe in one valley of death today and stepped right out happily. It was amazing. My kids are all giddy. They are saying everything with eyebrows up, a pause, and the last word in a goofy high voice, and we are having a ball! My lit circle even brought up that Maniac Magee left his aunt and uncle’s house because it was not good for his ARFF! This is after one morning of ARFF teaching!!! We did interviews and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My kids didn’t want to stop and go to recess. You have given me the skills to teach in line with my philosophy and it is so unbelievably satisfying. Not to mention that you gave me my curriculum for the week and full preparation for conferences this Thursday! What would have been an insanely stressful week is just exciting! Thank you!!!!

Also, one of my students was so excited about the concept that she brought me a stuffed dog in this morning named ARFF, nametag and everything.
Day 2 of pure heaven is moving towards completion!

The thing I'm most proud of this year is that I've gotten to see what people talk about when they say," Look at it with different eyes." You can be happy or not, ( F in ARFF) you can look at your homework and think," oh--- I have so much to do!!!" or, " I have some homework, but I know I will finish it in time to play with my dog." It s all your choice. I'm glad, because now I can be a lot happier with what I am doing. It's a lot more fun to laugh at the funny things without having to think, " its so stupid!!!" but that makes it funny.
Thank you,
Daisy
